So our last Hidden Gems had most of you wanting more so let’s keep the ball rolling.

Moving on swiftly and professionally to Dzorwulu – Nyaho Hospital road has a stretch of food joints in that environ .

And trust me there is a lot of good and affordable food on that stretch of road.

Akorfa’s kitchen is our spotlight for this feature.

Serving all kinds of local meals and soups but the highlight from there is their Banku and Ademe.

You will be wondering what’s Ademe. Well Ademe is a leaf quite similar to Ayoyo and it is used to make a soup similar in consistency to Okro soup and Ayoyo Soup but more nutritious flavorful and different in my opinion. In terms of flavor similar to Okro but with a little more heat / pepper undertones.

If you don’t want to be adventurous she has Okro Soup too and others but you must try her Banku and Ademe with Kotodwe( Cow knee) and guess what all of that for 10ghc including the goat meat I added .

It’s a popular place amongst many on that stretch of road .

To make it easier to find , it’s literally next to Hajia Fati/ Excel Waakye .

It’s sometimes rare to find some of these indigenous meals but when I do I’ll be sure to let you know where to find it .

There are more hidden gems which I’ll be featuring.

Let’s support the local food businesses , they are always value for your money .
